Bradford-born Devine has Football League experience and has penned a one-year deal with the Blues.

He progressed through the academy at Bradford City, going on to make 30 senior appearances for the Bantams – departing the club in 2020.

The 24-year-old was quickly picked up by fellow League Two side Carlisle United and made 28 appearances across two seasons, before leaving Brunton Park this summer.

Manager Calum McIntyre told https://www.chesterfc.com: “Danny has played a host of Football League games and has been brought in largely on the back of losing a couple of players.

“We’ve gone from having real options to being light in the middle of the pitch in terms of genuine out and out midfield players.

“He is a great age and profile for us, and we are really pleased to add another player that can boast significant EFL experience as well being at an age and stage of their career where they are still as hungry as they could possibly be.

“We’ve worked hard to get this done and I’m delighted to add Danny to the group”.
