Spireites Take Arsenal Midfielder on Loan
Vanarama National League club Chesterfield have announced the coup signing of Tim Akinola on loan for the rest of the season from Premier League giants Arsenal.

Akinola signed for the Gunners academy two years ago after being released by SkyBet Championship side Huddersfield Town.

 

The midfielder has been a regular with Arsenal’s under-21s and under-23s, making 43 appearances.

 

The 21-year-old, who hails from Nigeria, played youth football with Lincoln City and Huddersfield before joining Arsenal in 2020.

 

He had a spell on loan at Scottish Premier League outfit Dundee United in January 2022 but was hampered by injuries and only made one appearance.
