Jones (pictured) is a familiar face to Robins` supporters as the 20-year-old left-back previously signed for Altrincham on loan in February 2022 until the end of the season, making a dozen appearances.

He had joined the Potteries club from the sadly now defunct Bury and he went on to make 12 appearances in a loan spell at AFC Telford United before playing three games in League Two for Hartlepool United at the start of 2021/22 season.

He returned to Stoke in January 2022 before his move to Altrincham.

He has representative honours for Wales at under-17 and under-21 level.

Defensive midfielder Dan Malone, who also has Welsh representative credentials, for the under-17s, follows Jones from the Britannia Stadium.

The 20-year-old has spent the last two years on contract at Stoke but has been at the club since the age of 9.
