Left
or right-sided defender Joe Wilson re-joins the Robins from Southern Premier
Division South side Hayes & Yeading United.
Wilson,
who turned 23 on Thursday, had only returned to the SKYex Community Stadium
last month
He
returned south from Northern Premier League Premier Division outfit
Gainsborough Trinity.
He
came through the academy system at Championship side Reading before playing at
under-18 level for Aldershot Town, for whom he made his first team debut
against Team Solent in the Hampshire Senior Cup.
He
signed for Fleet Town in August 2018 and showed well during their Southern
League campaign prior to his original move to the SKYex in February 2019.
He
impressed during his short time with the club, playing a part in United winning
the Isthmian League South Central title but couldn't commit the following
season as he moved north to study at the University of Nottingham.
He
initially combined studying with playing for Ilkeston, moving to Gainsborough
in May 2021 but moved back south at the conclusion of his studies and opted to
return to the SKYEx.
Promising
19-year-old winger Jordao Costa has also moved to the Microlise New Manor
Ground.
Costa
started his career with Championship side Huddersfield Town but has more
recently been on the books at Northern Premier League Division One West
newcomers Macclesfield FC.
Joining
the Robins on loan from Vanarama National League North side Boston United is
defensive midfielder Tom Solanke (pictured).
The
21-year-old signed for the Pilgrims in July from Ilkeston’s league rivals
Alvechurch.
He
moved to Lye Meadow in February 2022 from then-National League side Weymouth.
He
had only been with the Terras since December 2021 after joining from Church`s
league rivals Stourbridge, where he had been since early September 2021.
He
originally came through the academy ranks at West Bromwich Albion and
progressed through the under-18s and under-23 teams before being released at
the end of the 2020/21 season.
Capped
by England at youth level, he joins Ilkeston for an initial three-month period. |
