The Stow have had two wins and two defeats in the league but have had very early exits from both the Emirates FA Cup – beaten 2-1 at lower league Buckhurst Hill in the Extra Preliminary Round – and then 3-1 at home in the Isuzu FA Trophy to Isthmian League South Central outfit Ashford Town (Middx) on Tuesday night.

A statement from the club reads: “It is with regret that we part company with joint managers Terry Spillane and John Mackie.

“Performances this season have not been at the level expected, and we believe it is the right time to make this decision.

“We would like to thank John and Terry for all their hard work and commitment during their time with us. Their role in winning the Essex Senior League title will not be forgotten and we wish them all the very best for the future.

“We are now accepting applications for the vacant manager role. Please email only andrewpeterperkins@hotmail.co.uk to express your interest”.
