And it saw Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley record their first win as Chester bosses in emphatic fashion.

The Nash had won impressively at Darlington at the weekend but found themselves behind after 22 minutes when defender Simon Grand – one of several players who played under the joint-managers at Salford City – powered in a header from a corner.

And it was 2-0 with 8 minutes of the first half remaining when Gary Roberts` through ball was latched onto by Anthony Dudley, who went on to fire past Curzon `keeper Cameron Mason.

The win was virtually confirmed on the hour-mark when recent signing Deane Smalley`s cross was tapped home at the far post by John Pritchard.
