Davis, 34, was signed by Farnborough in the summer of 2022 from League Two side Sutton United.

He had joined Sutton in July 2017 after a season with Boreham Wood, but was previously with Braintree Town for six seasons, winning the Conference South championship in 2011 and then captaining the Essex side at National League level, leading them to the play-off semi-finals in the 2015/16 season and scoring the only goal of their first leg win at Grimsby Town.

Making nearly 200 appearances at Cressing Road, he was also a regular in the England C side.

He started out at Chelsea and also featured for Harlow Town and Grays Athletic before signing for the Iron in 2010.

He helped Sutton to promotion to the Football League.

As part of the deal, summer signing from Hayes & Yeading United, Francis Amartey will head to the Easy As HGV Stadium on a month’s loan.

Joining the Shots from Loftus Road until January are forward Ody Alfa and midfielder Faysal Bettache.

The 23-year-old Alfa (pictured) has previously spent time on loan with Spanish side Atletico Baleares, Billericay Town, Maidenhead United and Dartford.

Alfa has made 10 senior appearances for Rangers.

Bettache, 22, and originally with Watford, has been on loan with Billericay and also Oldham Athletic, then in League Two, where he made 10 appearances.

He has 9 first-team games to his credit for the R’s to date.
