31-year-old arrives at Park View Road with a wealth of League and international
experience, having racked up 150 appearances during his time in League
football, while representing his country on 21 occasions, scoring 3 goals.
Baghdad-born,
Kasim spent time as a youth with Tottenham Hotspur’s under-18s before joining
Brighton & Hove Albion in 2010.
Having
made one League appearance with the Seagulls, he enjoyed loan spells at Luton
Town and Macclesfield Town before joining Swindon Town permanently in 2013.
He
spent four seasons in League One at the County Ground, netting 8 goals in 139
appearances for the Robins, including a start at Wembley in their 2015 League
One play-off final defeat to Preston North End.
A
move to Northampton Town followed in 2017, before leaving for the Swedish top-flight
with Örebro SK in January 2019 prior to a move back to Iraq with Erbil and then
Zakho before returning to England this summer. |
