Beadle was appointed to the first team manager’s position in May and was tasked with a massive job of a complete rebuild of the playing squad, with zero players left from last season's successful squad.

Beadle’s playing career began with Gillingham in 1988 and he made his first-team debut at the age of 16.

He enjoyed a spell on loan with Southern League Margate before returning to Priestfield and becoming a first-team regular.

He made 76 appearances and scored 16 goals which prompted Tottenham Hotspur to pay £30,000 for his services in June 1992 – a club record for the Gills at the time.

However, he never played a senior game for Spurs and had spells out on loan at Bournemouth and Southend United before being sold to Watford for £5,000 in September 1984.

But he swiftly joined Bristol Rovers in November 1995 for £30,000 and scored 43 goals in 127 games before moving to Port Vale for £300,000 in August 1998.

Moves to Notts County and Bristol City followed and he spent four years at Ashton Gate, scoring 19 goals in 106 games before being released at the end of the 2002/03 season.

He had short stay at Brentford before joining Conference side Barnet in September 2003.

He returned West to become player-coach at Team Bath in December 2003 and in the summer of 2004, linked up with Clevedon Town.

In May 2005, Beadle left the Hand Stadium to become manager of Taunton Town and in October 2005 he took over at Newport County.

He was sacked by the Exiles at the end of the 2007/08 season after being charged by the FA of Wales over an incident in an FA Cup tie with Swansea City.

He returned to management with Clevedon in March 2010 but left at the end of the following season when he spent almost two years in charge of Cheltenham Town’s under-16 side.

After taking a year out of the game, Beadle became manager of Hereford United’s youth team and in March 2014, he took over as the then-Conference side Bulls` caretaker boss following the departure of Martin Foyle.

In May 2014, he was appointed as head coach of Conference South side Sutton United before being appointed as the first manager of Hereford FC following the demise of the `old` club.

Beadle led the phoenix club to league titles in all three of his full seasons in charge.

He also took Hereford to the FA Vase final at Wembley in 2016 and to the FA Cup Second Round, losing to League One side Fleetwood Town in a replay.

He was sacked by Hereford in September 2018 with the Bulls occupying 12th spot in the National League North.

In August 2020, Beadle was appointed as manager of National League side Barnet but left in December 2020.

The process of appointing a new manager to take the club forward is already underway.

Meanwhile, assistant manager Stuart Fleetwood will take charge of team matters until a new manager is confirmed.
