Harrison
had joined NPL Division One East side Grantham Town, also on dual registration,
and he actually played for the Gingerbreads in last Saturday's goalless draw at
Pontefract Collieries.
The
35-year-old re-joined Alty in September from National League North side Boston
United.
He
had been with the Pilgrims since the summer after leaving JD Cymru Premier
outfit Connah’s Quay Nomads.
He
moved to Wales in August 2021 from Alty, where he had been in his first spell
since December 2020.
He
had re-joined Barrow from then-National League rivals Barnet in July 2019,
having been at The Hive since the start of the 2018/19 season.
He
began his career at Havant & Waterlooville in 2005 where he made over 20
appearances in his first and only season with the club.
He
went on to play for Worthing, Boreham Wood, Harrow Borough, Ashford Town and
Carshalton Athletic before making the step-up to the EFL in 2011 with League
Two side Stevenage, helping the club clinch promotion in his debut season.
However, after one season in League One, he returned to England’s fourth tier,
signing for AFC Wimbledon and becoming their record signing.
After
two seasons with the Dons, he played for Cheltenham and Chesterfield before
returning to Stevenage on loan in 2015.
He
was released by Chesterfield ahead of the 2016/17 campaign before making the
switch to Barrow.
He
bagged 27 goals in 56 appearances for the Bluebirds before joining Sutton
United on loan for the back end of the 2017/18 season where he helped them to a
play-off finish. |
