The club informed the league that they have been unable to “secure enough players to sustain a side in the South West Peninsula League”.

The upcoming Premier Division games at Cullompton Rangers on Friday night and at Elburton next Tuesday will be cancelled.

League secretary Phil Hiscox said: “Very sad to hear this news, and that a club of the stature of Witheridge are gone. I know it’s a sign of the times with clubs folding nationally and locally, but it doesn’t make it any easier to hear”.
