The 30-year-old, a defender with an eye for goal, moved to Boro in the summer of 2022 from league rivals Tamworth, for whom he arrived in October 2020 from another league rival, Stratford Town. He joined Stratford in July 2018 from United Counties League Premier Division South outfit Coventry United where he had been captain since 2014. At United he made 175 appearances and scored 53 goals and was highly rated, being described as ‘an exceptional player, a born leader and a true Coventry United legend’. He originally joined the Lambs in July 2019 after a successful season at Stratford, but after an impressive start to his Lambs career playing 14 games, personal circumstances meant that he had to take time out of the game. Halesowen’s joint boss Martin Sockett told https://www.ht-fc.co.uk: ''We are really pleased to get Coxy on board. ''He brings to the table everything we are about he is competitive, experienced, tenacious and consistent and is a great signing for our last 11 games. I would like to thank Jimmy at Nuneaton for his support in waiving the seven days so we can have Chris available for our game against Corby''.
