Holden was Cambridge’s first signing ahead of the 2022/23 season as he penned a two-year deal in May.
The youngster joined from Championship side Reading and provides real competition in the U’s goalkeeping ranks.
Although he didn’t attain an appearance for the Royals, he gained first-team experience out on loan with Bognor Regis Town, Bracknell Town and Maidenhead United.
Now integrated into the squad, he received important game time during pre-season against numerous higher-tier outfits.
