Carter (pictured) arrived at the Silverlake Stadium with over 150 career appearances and 26 goals to his name at the start of the 2022/23 season and hasn’t looked back since. The forward-minded English midfielder has made 49 appearances for the Spitfires, scoring 11 times during his stay. Carter won the National League player of the month award for February before winning the in-house player of the month for March. Rutherford joined the elite development squad for the 2022/23 season after leaving Plymouth Argyle but was awarded a first-team squad number after impressing in pre-season. He made his first team debut as a substitute on the opening day of the 2022/23 season away to Wrexham. After a handful of substitute appearances, he signed his first professional contract on August 26th and made his first start against Southend United on August 27th. This season, Rutherford has made 42 appearances for the club and continues to impress with his energy and strength on the wings. (Photo: Tom Mulholland)
