| Manager Leaves Guildford |
| Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division club Guildford City have announced that manager Peter Ruggles has resigned from his position with immediate effect. |

| Ruggles was appointed manager twelve months ago after the club had undergone a traumatic season on and off the pitch.
In his resignation letter, Ruggles spoke of his particular frustration with the playing facility at the Spectrum where City are currently tenants.
He told https://guildfordcityfc.co.uk: “The pitch is absolutely horrendous and it’s hard to see how to turn it around and play a brand of football I wish to be associated with. It’s a massive shame because if Guildford were to have access to a facility like Westfield, Knaphill or Sheerwater you would attract players so easily and create a great atmosphere. It’s clear to see both the potential of the Club and the obvious frustration of everybody involved.”
Club chairman David Knight said: “We had told Pete that stability was key this season, and this has been achieved. However, some of the facilities available to the club have proven disappointing to the management team. We, as a club, are equally frustrated, although we do work very hard to provide as good a matchday experience as we can. In any event we thank Pete and his management team for their hard work this season. They will always be welcome at the club, and we wish them all the best for the future”.
