The experienced 32-year-old re-joined the White Tigers in August 2022 having re-signed for then-Southern Premier Division South rivals Tiverton Town in June 2021 from Plymouth Parkway, who he had signed for in May 2020 from Taunton Town. He had originally been with the Peacocks from the summer of 2016 from then-National League South Truro. An experienced striker whose early career was spent at Swansea City and Crystal Palace including a loan spell at Woking, he helped Salisbury win the Southern Premier play-offs before a stint in Sweden followed with Pitea IF in 2012. He then went on to feature for Tiverton Town and then Bideford in 2014/15 until joining Truro for the first time later in 2014. Bideford boss Sean Joyce told his club’s website: “I’m really pleased to have Matt back with us at Bideford. He’s an experienced striker who has played at a higher level and has a proven track record. He’s what we’ve really been missing the last few years here”.
