The 26-year-old had joined the Robins in the summer of 2022 from former Isthmian South Central rivals Chertsey Town, where he had been since the 2020 close season. He was originally with National League Woking`s first team squad but moved to Cobham in 2019/20 and then Redhill. Slough manager Scott Davies told https://www.sloughtownfc.net/: "Gary was first put on my radar by a team-mate of his last year at Chertsey Town when I found myself playing against them for Hanwell Town in the play-off final. "On the day, Gary showed glimpses of how good he can be at times, but having watched him on four or five occasions this season, he seems to have improved during his spell with Bracknell. "One thing about a player like Gary is that the surface to play on is all important, and I believe the 3G at Arbour Park will suit him perfectly. "Every fan in the ground likes to watch a front-foot player who likes to gets at their defender, and Gary is exactly that. I’m sure he will add real pace and trickery and will be someone that the fans really take to. "Again, it would’ve been easy for Gary to stay in his comfort zone at Bracknell, where he’s highly thought of by his management and peers, but he’s chosen to test himself at the next level." Bayliss (pictured) is a 24-year-old centre-back who joined the Robins in June 2019 from Basingstoke Town. The highly rated former Flackwell Heath and England Schoolboy international defender had joined Basingstoke in the summer of 2017. Davies said of Bayliss` arrival: “I first saw Dan play as a 17-year-old and was immediately impressed. Since then, he’s developed as a player but also as a leader, captaining Bracknell at 24 years old. “This for us adds another leader to the group, something I believe is vitally important on and off the pitch at any football club. “To sign the two captains (Dan and Jeanmal Prosper) from the semi-final of the Southern League Premier South play-off game between Bracknell and Chesham United just a few weeks ago is a massive scalp for the club. “Having a left-footed centre half is something we have targeted over the summer and I believe we’ve signed a fantastic prospect in Dan for that position. “Hopefully this shows that we are signing players who want to play at our level and Dan is certainly one of those. It would have been easy for him to stay at Bracknell where he’s highly thought of, but the appeal of playing in National League South shows the hunger he has to test himself at this level”.
