Player-manager Elliot Sandy has brought in former team-mate Glenn Walker (pictured, who was recently allowed to leave Vanarama National League North side Brackley Town. The experienced 35-year-old attacking midfielder had re-joined Brackley for the start of the 2015/16 campaign after one season at Hednesford Town. The left-sided midfielder became a club legend who made it into the Saints’ `all-time XI` when it was announced in 2016 and became their record appearance holder with over 400 games and starred for them in the 2023/24 play-off final as captain. Perhaps most famously remembered for his FA Cup goal against Gillingham in 2013, he has also worn the colours of Banbury United, Long Buckby and Corby Town. The Tulips have also announced that midfielder Joe Curtis has moved to the Sir Halley Stewart Fields from Southern Premier Division Central side Bromsgrove Sporting. The 29-year-old had joined the Rouslers in June 2022 from the Tulips` league rivals Corby Town. He had moved to the Steelmen in early September 2021 from United Counties League side Wellingborough Town, having been with the Doughboys since July having re-joined Southern Premier Central outfit Stratford Town in June 2020 from league rivals St Ives Town, who he signed for in October 2019. He had only signed for Stratford in September 2019 from AFC Rushden & Diamonds. He had been with Diamonds since before the start of the 2016/17 season having played at Daventry Town and Spalding United in the 2015/16 season. He was previously at Stamford and Brackley Town having graduated through the youth system at Southampton after being a junior with Leicester City before a serious injury saw his release.
