With two other successful loan additions, Kevin Dawson and Jack Stobbs, agreeing to turn their temporary moves into permanent arrangements last month, 22-year-old forward Collins has now followed suit.
Collins spent from February until the end of the 2022/23 season on loan at Plainmoor from SkyBet League Two side Newport County.
He had come through the Exiles` own ranks to make his first team debut in November 2017 in the EFL Trophy.
In August 2019, he made his League debut for Newport and scored his first goal in the 5–4 defeat to West Ham United under-21s in the EFL Trophy.
He played for Newport in the League Two play-off final at Wembley Stadium in May 2021 which Newport lost to Morecambe after a 107th minute penalty.
He totalled 57 games and scored 2 goals for Newport before being released in May 2023.
He won caps for Wales at under-17, 19 and under-21 international level.
