| Barnsley Move for Shrimper |

| The 21-year-old centre-back pens a four-year deal with the Reds.
Łopata signed for Southend in late August 2022 from then-Championship side Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee, having first been with Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Polish under-21 international was on loan at Southend in 2021/22 from the Blades, and returns on a permanent deal, penning a two-year contract which includes an option for a third.
He played 18 games for the Shrimpers in his first spell at the club, playing the full 90 minutes in every one of them, and helping to keep four clean sheets.
He played a significant part in Blues’ 14-game unbeaten league run from December to March, starting almost every game during that streak.
Having moved to the UK from Poland at the age of 9, he was involved in the youth systems at Southampton, Bristol City and Brighton & Hove Albion.
During his time at the Seagulls, he had loans at Pitching In Isthmian League South East side Whitehawk and also returned to his homeland with Zagłębie Sosnowiec.
In August 2020, he signed for Sheffield United on a three-year deal, playing two full games in the EFL Cup a year later.
