Chris Winton (pictured) joins as the new first team coach after a spell as manager at Kings Langley.
He was previously assistant manager at St Albans City.
Jefferson Louis will also join as performance coach, leading much of the physical activity in training and on match days, including the warm-ups, activation work and also advising on post-match recovery and nutrition.
Slough manager Scott Davies told https://www.sloughtownfc.net: “I’m delighted that Chris Winton has chosen to join our management team as first team coach. He comes with great knowledge of the league having worked as an assistant manager to Ian Allinson at St Albans City, which is a real positive for us.
“The process took slightly longer than expected as it was crucial that we found the right person and we truly believe that we’ve done just that.
“From speaking to people within the game that know Chris, all the feedback was extremely positive about him as a coach but also as a person too which I always stress is just as important.
“He had a really tough decision to make in leaving Kings Langley as first team manager, but we are really pleased that he will now be on board in time to start working with the lads for when we return to training on 27th June.
“A lot of the fans will know Jefferson Louis from his handful of appearances last season. To still be playing at 44, he’s clearly doing something right! Over the past nine years of knowing Jeff, I’ve seen how professional he is in terms of his day-to-day living to be the best version of himself and have a prolonged career in the game.
“He will come in and head up the physical activity needed in training and on match days, which will include the warm-ups, activation work but also post-match with recovery and nutrition.
“Not only that, from experience I know that Jeff will drive the standards off the pitch not only for the younger players, but also the older ones within the group which is extremely important. At the same time, he can also pass on any advice to the younger strikers in the group that we have with us which will be a great help to them in their development.”
Winton said: “I’m thrilled to be joining this wonderful club ahead of the new season! Slough is always a club I’ve enjoyed coming up against in the technical area and have always been a tough opponent.
“It was always going to be a tempting opportunity to draw me away from Kings Langley so when Johnny Goddard initially got in contact and subsequently speaking with Scott and Tony Fontanelle - I felt this was too good to turn down.
“Scott comes with a great reputation, and I know he and Yella have created an exciting environment here which I can’t wait to be part of.
“I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and working with the players and staff to achieve success on the pitch this season”.
