Young, talented striker Sam King joins Leighton after an impressive stand-out seasons at Shefford & Campton in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division in 2022/23 where he scored 13 goals in 38 games. He broke into the first team at Shefford in 2021/22 when he displayed his potential in a handful of matches. Flinn has returned to his former club, United Counties League Premier Division South side Newport Pagnell Town, to sign striker Albie Hall for a second spell at Bell Close. Hall has an incredible record everywhere he has been in his career, with 45 goals in 32 games at Pitstone & Ivinghoe and 37 in 44 games at Newport Pagnell. He also scored the decisive spot-kick against Congleton Town in April to send the Swans to back-to-back finals following a 2-2 draw at Booth Street. As well as Newport Pagnell and Pitstone, Hall has also turned out for Winslow United and Old Bradwell United. Flinn has also brought in midfielder Charlie Pattison. The 22-year-old joins Leighton from AFC Rushden & Diamonds, who were relegated from the Southern Premier Division Central at the end of last season. Pattison (pictured) had been with Diamonds since January 2023. He had signed for Banbury United in June 2021 from Southern Division One Central side AFC Dunstable, who he originally signed for in October 2020, and then made a swift return to the OD’s in September 2021. He joined the MK Dons' academy at under-9 level, progressing through various age groups and into the club's development squad, eventually going on to captain the club's under-18s. In September 2018, whilst still an academy player, he featured for the first team against Peterborough United in an EFL Trophy group stage fixture. Following a spell on loan with AFC`s league rivals Welwyn Garden City, he signed pro terms with the Dons in June 2019. During 2019/20, he enjoyed short spells on loan with Southern Premier Division Central sides Kings Langley and Biggleswade Town. However, at the conclusion of the campaign, he was one of 9 players released from the Dons.
