The 21-year-old has signed a two-year deal at Victory Road having spent last season with Bostik North side Bury Town where he had a fantastic season, scoring 32 goals, 27 of which were in the league where he was second in the end of season scoring charts.
Cambridge based, Ramadan was released by Ipswich Town in 2016 and then had spells with Cambridge City and Royston Town before returning to Bury Town for a second time.
Blues boss Glenn Driver told his club`s website: "I am really pleased with the signing of Cemal. He has the pedigree to progress with his football and he had many offers from clubs at various levels, some more local to his home in Cambridge but he wants to test himself at the highest level possible and for him to choose Leiston speaks volumes for the player. We have some top strikers at our club and that didn't phase him at all. At 21 it shows again we are a club that wants to promote youth. I'm sure he will fit into our way of playing and I'm excited to see him in a Leiston shirt”. |
