Twenty-seven-year-old Pritchard is a former NPL Premier Division promotion winner with Ashton United and also lists Chester, Matlock Town and Radcliffe amongst his former clubs, bringing further vital experience to the Celtic squad. Manager James Kinsey told the club’s website: “JP has turned up with a point to prove. “This last two years or so he’s been nowhere near where he should be. He gave me a call and asked for the opportunity to come in and get his head down. There’s nothing better than that for us and we’ve made it clear it’s up to him whether he is successful here or not. “His work rate in sessions so far has been second to none and he looks very sharp.” Pritchard began his career at Oldham Athletic before spending time with FC United of Manchester, Trafford, Ramsbottom United and Ashton United, where he was part of the side that secured promotion to the Vanarama National League North. He saw a move to Chester where he scored 4 times in 16 games before a return to Ashton was followed by a short spell with Wythenshawe Town, signing for Matlock Town in 2021. In January 2022 he signed for Radcliffe before spending last season with Cheadle Town. Twenty-six-year-old winger Burton links up with the Celtic squad after spending three years at Wythenshawe where he was named James Kinsey’s player of the year in the 2021/22 season. Kinsey said: “Jord is a great addition to our group. He is an unreal person to have as part of the squad and he’ll help us in building a strong team spirit. “He can play in numerous positions which is a huge asset for us to have and we know that he will run through brick walls for us. The rest follows from that with him. “He was my managers player of the season for the 2021/22 season and we’re delighted he’s joining us at Celtic”.
