West Auckland Town were beaten 2-1 at Blyth AFC after taking the lead in the EBAC Northern League First Division on Wednesday night.

West took the lead on 59 minutes when Amar Purewal was brought down, and Nathan Fisher scored from the spot.

 

But Blyth levelled on 72 minutes with a deflected shot by Craig McFarlane, and then they won it in the last minute through David Robinson off a corner.

 

Hebburn Town have three wins from three, after scoring three times in the first half-hour to win 3-0 at Whickham, Michael Richardson, Ben Dibb-Fuller and an own goal by Ross Peareth their scorers.

 

Consett had an excellent away win by 6-1 at Penrith, with Danny Craggs scoring a hat-trick, and Michael Mackay scoring two.

 

Ashington won with a last-minute goal at North Shields, with Gerard Richardson scoring from a corner.
