The Watersiders begin with a home game against Slimbridge with several new faces in their squad.

 

Manager Glenn Howes was disappointed to lose several players from his title-winning side, including Lewis Tallack to promoted Southern Premier South outfit Wimborne Town, Sam Griffin and Franklyn Clarke to relegated Poole Town, prolific marksman Craig McAllister, who left to manage Gosport Borough, and Sean Stewart, who switched to Wimborne`s new league rivals, Dorchester Town.

 

One of Howes` first signings of the close season was to bring in goalkeeper Lewis Noice from former Wessex League rivals AFC Portchester.

 

Noice played in the National League for Eastleigh and also had spells with Yate Town, Larkhall Athletic and Winchester City.

 

Defender Zak Sharp, who recently completed a degree course at Chichester University and finished last season with Gosport Borough, having previously played in the Southern Combination League with Littlehampton Town and Chichester City.

       

Another defensive signing, Adam Tomasso, who joined from Winchester, has already been sent out to Wessex outfit Alresford Town on dual registration, while Ade Olumuyiwa arrives from Team Solent.

 

Young midfielder Owen Fee has stepped up from another Wessex side, Lymington Town, as have forwards Charlie Urry from Newport (IoW) and ex-Fawley and AFC Totton man Dylan Knight.
