James Steele has joined after his two-year scholarship at SkyBet League Two side Port Vale and Michael Conlon, a year older than Steele and another ex-Vale scholar who had a spell with Hallmark Security League side Hanley Town last season.
Steele has impressed in training and a couple of trial games he has played, he is very versatile and has already been utilised both as a right-back and in the centre of midfield.
He has a fantastic attitude with great fitness levels, football intelligence and ability with and without the ball.
Conlon has also chosen Newcastle Town to help him to further develop as a player.
He is a talented player that can cause problems in the final third with his speed and eye for goal and is an area where Castle need some competition for places.
Although he has only trained a couple of times with the squad, they have seen enough to suggest that he can make an impact in the Northern Premier League. |
