Just three games into the season and Daventry Town are now the only 100% team in the United Counties League Premier Division after their 3-0 win at Whitworth on Saturday.

Luke Emery turned sharply to fire the visitors in front on 4 minutes, but they had to wait to the second half before ensuring the points.

Sub Greg Aniyitos made it two on 70 minutes after winning the ball in the middle and firing home and Adam Creaney added the third from the penalty spot 2 minutes from time after Taylor Orosz had been upended in the box.

Eynesbury Rovers moved up to second after their 3-0 win at home to struggling Harborough Town.

Teenager T`ai Williams broke down the right before cutting in and curling a low shot inside the far post on 7 minutes, an own goal following a corner doubled the lead on 72 minutes and Jamal McKenzie fired home from outside the box 7 minutes later to complete a good day for Rovers.

Cogenhoe United drop down to third but remain unbeaten, as do Oadby Town who have played a game less. The two sides failed to produce a goal at Freeway Park, although they both had good chances to snatch it.

Deeping Rangers also lost their 100% record and had a 97th minute equaliser to thank for keeping them unbeaten.

Hosts Desborough Town looked to have secured a win thanks to a cracking Aidan Bradshaw strike just after the half-hour mark, but Deeping levelled when David Burton-Jones headed home Dan Flack’s free-kick deep into stoppage time.

The reason the game was still going on that late was a delay caused by the air ambulance landing on the training pitch whilst attending a separate incident.

Holbeach United kick-started their season with a very comfortable 6-0 win over Kirby Muxloe at Carters Park.

Will Bird put them in front early on and Jack Smith made it 2-0 after 5 minutes. Somehow it stayed that way until 4 minutes into the second half when Smith struck again and then Josh Ford made it four on 54 minutes.

A second for Bird (70) and one from Kieran Hamilton (73) rounded off the scoring, but it could easily have been much worse for the Leicestershire side had Holbeach not have wasted so many chances during the game.

Sleaford Town were also big winners as they swept ON Chenecks aside 5-0 at Eslaforde Park.

The Greens were awarded a penalty after just 30 seconds and Mike Hayden tucked it away for the perfect start. Ryan Oliver bagged himself a hat-trick with goals after 41, 44 and 74, with former Holbeach striker George Couzens getting the other on 72 minutes.

Rugby Town cruised to a 5-2 victory over Boston Town in their first home game of the season.

Keenah Rosser put them in front after 20 minutes from Danico Johnson’s cross and Charlie Evans headed home a Blythe cross 8 minutes later.

Poachers` skipper Richard Ford pulled one back 4 minutes before the break when he outmuscled a defender to slot home, but the two-goal margin was restored right on 45 minutes when Johnson ran on to a long ball, held off the challenge and fired home.

Johnson all but killed the game off with two more quick goals after 51 and 54. The first saw his shot hit a defender on the way in, but he will be claiming a hat-trick after weaving past a couple of defenders in the box before seeing his shot from a tight angle hit both posts before going in for his side’s fifth.

Scott Coupland reduced the arrears after 65 minutes with a low shot, but it was too little too late as his side had been outclassed for much of the game.

Peterborough Northern Star moved off the bottom in style with a 5-0 win at Rothwell Corinthians to prove what an unpredictable game football can be. Lukas Gereltauskas grabbed two of the goals, with Corey Kingston, Josh Rosser and sub James Hill-Seekings also on target.

Newport Pagnell Town picked up their first point of the season in a 2-2 draw at Wellingborough Town having been pegged back twice by the Doughboys.

Dave Baker headed The Swans in front on 10 minutes, but Adam Pryke’s own goal a minute before the break levelled the scores.

Tom Liversedge scored in stoppage time to give Newport the half-time advantage, but Italian Beppe Freitas is in good form in front of goal this season and he rescued a point for Wellingborough when he rifled home on 56 minutes to leave his side in ninth spot at the end of the day.
