The 25-year-old heads to the Spireites having started just once so far this season, in the 1-0 win over Swindon Town in the Carabao Cup.

Hollis joined Forest Green from Notts County in January and made 19 appearances for the club as he played a key role in maintaining their League Two status.

Hollis will link up with Martin Allen’s side ahead of this weekend’s home league game with Barnet.

Allen told https://www.chesterfield-fc.co.uk: “He is 25-years-old, a model professional who I've worked with at a club just down the motorway and I've followed his career closely.

“He is a strong header of the ball, good at defending set-plays and is a good addition to our squad”.
