Vaulks, 18, joins on a month’s loan from Vanarama National League side Darlington and will be able to feature against Albion.

Vaulks was signed from Ebac Northern League outfit Crook Town in early September 2017 and made his debut for Quakers at Southport.

He previously played for Esh Winning in the Northern League and has represented Durham County under-18s.

He spent time on loan last season with another Northern League outfit, Sunderland RCA

Manager Chris Hardy also confirmed that talks are continuing as he looks to bring in defensive cover stating that he hopes Whitby will have “some new names in for Saturday”, Vaulks looking to be the only addition so far.

Going into the weekend clash, Hardy stressed about the importance of home advantage as he wants his side to pick up as many points as possible.

“It will be difficult,” Hardy told https://www.whitby-town.com. “We go into it with home advantage which is important. Coming away from home and picking up a point, let alone three is a difficult task to complete.

“Saturday’s home advantage should hopefully be used to our advantage”.
