.....Bowers &
Pitsea, Godmanchester Rovers, Tooting & Mitcham United and Sholing
following Friday night`s opening ties.
Bowers & Pitsea
won the all-Bostik League North tie at Parkside against Barking.
An overhead finish
from Jamie Dicks after 37 minutes eventually proved enough for Bowers.
Two other Bostik
North teams, newcomers Coggeshall Town and Witham Town, must replay next
Tuesday after a 0-0 draw at West Street.
A Joe Furness
penalty and goals from Matty Allan, Mike Hyem, Jack Chandler and Simon Unwin earned
Godmanchester Rovers their passage into the next round with a comprehensive
away win at Mundford Road against Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division rivals
Thetford Town.
Cherry Red Records Combined
Counties League side Horley Town were unable to pull off a shock at Bostik South
Central hosts Tooting & Mitcham United, who ran out 2-1 winners.
Russell Harvey gave
the visitors the lead which Billy Dunne cancelled out from the spot.
Dunne`s glancing
header won it for the Terrors in the second half.
There was also to be
no upset on the south coast as Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Division One side
United Services Portsmouth were beaten 3-1 by Wessex Premier visitors Sholing.
Jake Hoole`s brace
and one from Lee Wort saw the Boatmen through.
