....took advantage of their exits from the Emirates FA Cup to avoid a free-week so early in the season and it as the visitors who were smiling at 4-45.

Boston started well but former Poacher Josh Ford came back to haunt them with his goal giving the Tigers a half-time lead and newly-appointed skipper Spencer Tinkler met a free-kick to head a second and seal a 2-0 away win.

In Division One, Lutterworth Athletic’s winning start to their league campaign came to an end when they crashed 4-1 at in-form Harrowby United, meaning inactive Blackstones are the only 100% team.

The game sprang to life early in the second half as Jurelle Philip (50) and Tyrell Shannon-Lewis (53) gave the Arrows a two-goal advantage, but Barnes Gladman reduced the arrears with a penalty on 59.

Shannon-Lewis grabbed his second 12 minutes from time and Phillip did the same with clock already on 90 minutes to kill off the visitors fading hopes.

There were nine goals at Latimer Park as Burton Park Wanderers hit Holwell Sports for six.

The home side opened-up a four-goal lead in the first half through new signing from Bugbrooke St Michaels, Mason Thomas, after just 2 minutes of his debut, Gerard Sam, Paddy Campbell and Karabo Motshweni, although Holwell pulled one back through David Hazeldine before the break.

Thomas got his second 10 minutes into the second half before Aaron Ridout reduced the arrears again.

Burton won a penalty on 74 which gave Thomas the chance to start his career off at his new club with a hat-trick and he duly obliged and, although Liam Ambrose netted a third for the visitors, it didn’t dampen the spirits of Burton who ran out convincing 6-3 winners.

Birstall United are settling nicely into life in the UCL and thy moved up to fourth after a 1-0 win at Bourne Town.

A first half wonder strike from Ethan Bibby the difference between the two sides.

Long Buckby are slowly improving and they picked up an excellent point in a 1-1 draw at Rushden & Higham United.

The hosts high from their amazing Knockout Cup win in midweek when they hammered Premier Division Cogenhoe United 6-1 will seem a lifetime away now after Adam Yeates looked to have given Buckby the win with his 63rd minute goal, but Barry Deacon saved the Lankies blushes with an equaliser a minute from time.

Raunds Town are now the only pointless team after going down 2-1 at Huntingdon Town.

A double from James Wills put the home side in control and although the Shopmates managed to pull one back, it wasn’t enough, and it was Huntingdon who were celebrating their first win of the season.
