....Emirates FA Cup Preliminary Round win at Thurlow Nunn Leaguers FC Clacton.
Speaking after the 4-2 win, Dreyer talked of his need to give more time to his family whilst he had earlier also spoken of the pressure that his duties as manager had put on his developing business career.
As he juggled the responsibilities, he had become concerned that he was not giving his best to the club and players, and felt it was only right to hand over the reins.
Dreyer took on the manager's role in January 2018 having previously had experience in the Football League first as a player and later as assistant-manager at Stevenage and Preston North End.
He has also managed in non-League football and was in charge at Maidenhead United when they were elevated to the then-Conference South.
He joined Ware in the wake of Craig Edwards' defection to Cheshunt and after early set-backs he shaped a team that began to pull clear of the consequent relegation threat.
In the 28 competitive games under his management Ware won 9 and lost 13.
Management responsibilities will be taken over by Dreyer`s assistant Paul Halsey who will have former Ware players Jon Stevenson, Michael Bardle and recently signed John Frendo as his management team. |
