Goalkeeper Ross Durrant has joined on a month’s loan from Vanarama National League North side Alfreton Town.
Durrant joined the Reds from North Ferriby United in May 2018 on a one-year deal at the Impact Arena.
A product of the Nottingham Forest academy, he has had spells at both Ilkeston FC and Boston United in recent seasons, joining then-Northern Premier Ilkeston in 2016 after spending time on loan with the Robins from Forest.
A switch to Boston then followed in December 2016, arriving as Adam Murray's first signing and making his Pilgrims' debut against FC United of Manchester at Broadhurst Park.
He would then join North Ferriby in July 2017 after making 22 appearances for the Pilgrims and was a regular starter for the Villagers, making 39 appearances in the league, in what proved to be a difficult campaign, as Ferriby were relegated.
Durrant featured for Alfreton throughout pre-season ahead of the 2018/19 campaign but has yet to make an appearance since the start of the new season.
Young duo Charlie Wakefield and Ify Ofoegbu have also joined Club on loan from National League side Chesterfield.
Derby-born midfielder Wakefield, 18, made his debut for the Spireites against Scunthorpe United at the end of the 2016/17 season and has made three further first-team appearances.
Eighteen-year-old Ofoegbu is an athletic defender who joined Chesterfield from Huddersfield Town and has made two first-team appearances, both of which came in the EFL Trophy.
Chesterfield manager Martin Allen has allowed the pair to go out on loan to further their development. |
