....experienced defender Andy McWilliams from NPL Premier Division neighbours Buxton.
The left-back position was identified by Baker as an area the of the squad he wanted to strengthen, and he thought he had solved the issue with the signing of Lewis Short from Bala Town.
However, the former Crewe Alexandra man had an offer for Vanarama National North side Chorley and opted to move on leaving Baker to continue his search.
Now, McWilliams has filled the gap and the 28-year-old brings with him a wealth of experience to the squad.
He began his career in the youth set-up at York City and has gone on to play for Stalybridge Celtic, Guiseley AFC, Barrow AFC, Harrogate Town, Bradford Park Avenue and Altrincham before joining the Bucks last season.
The signing of McWilliams has allowed Baker to send out academy student Jessy Bavanganga on loan to Hallmark Security League side Abbey Hulton United to gain some match time. |
