....Premier League Premier Division on Bank Holiday Monday.

Only Stalybridge Celtic and Bamber Bridge now remain unbeaten in the embryonic table.

Nantwich lost 2-0 at Wincham Park against a Witton Albion side who made it back-to-back holiday weekend wins.

Rob Hopley bagged both of Albion`s goals after 27 and 50 minutes.

Farsley went down to a 2-1 Throstle Nest defeat to a Hednesford Town side who were beaten themselves on Saturday.

Jed Davies put the Pitmen in front immediately after half-time.

Will Hayhurst`s penalty 12 minutes from time pulled Celtic level, only for Jermain Hollis to win it for the visitors in the 86th minute.

Grantham beat Scarborough Athletic at The Meres on Saturday, but lost 3-1 at promoted Basford United, who seem to have found their Premier Division feet after also earning three points 48 hours earlier.

Jack Thomas gave the hosts a 7th minute lead that was cancelled out within a minute from recent signing Ryan Oliver.

James Reid restored Basford`s lead after 15 minutes and then a Matt Thornhill effort on 64 minutes sealed their win.

Matlock didn`t have a game on Saturday and were beaten 4-2 at the Northolme by a Gainsborough Trinity side who made it successive holiday wins.

Damian Reeves gave Trinity a 25th minute lead that Jake Green levelled within 2 minutes.

Ross Hannah restored the relegated hosts` advantage 9 minutes before the break, only for Green`s second on 67 minutes to make it 2-2.

Shane Clarke put the home side back in the lead in the 76th minute and Liam King made sure with a fourth goal 11 minutes from time.

Hyde United were another side who didn`t have a league game on Saturday and lost their unbeaten record, thanks to a 55th minute Liam Hardy effort at Silverlands against Buxton – their first win.

Stalybridge remain unbeaten after new boy Neil Kengni`s 67th minute effort proved enough at Bower Fold against Workington AFC.

While Bamber Bridge are also yet to taste defeat since winning promotion but had to be content with a point from a 0-0 Irongate draw with Warrington Town.

North Ferriby United and Marine AFC both recorded first victories of 2018/19.

The relegated Villagers beat promoted South Shields 3-0 at the Eon Visual Medium Stadium with goals from Luke Hinsley after 6 minutes and again a minute from time, sandwiched by a goal right on half-time from Jordan Harrison.

The Mariners made it played four, lost four for Lancaster City after a 1-0 win at the Giant Axe, courtesy of an early 2nd minute Chris Doyle effort.

The day`s two other matches ended 1-1.

Kyle Perry put Stafford Rangers in front at Marston Road against Mickleover Sports after 21 minutes.

But the Derbyshire side pulled level through a Lewis Banks own goal 11 minutes into the second half.

Michael Coulson gave Scarborough Athletic an early 8th minute lead at the Flamingo Land Stadium against Whitby Town, but the majority in the bumper 1,976 crowd went home glass half empty after Junior Mondal`s 26th minute equaliser for the Seasiders.
