A goalless draw was the result in the Flackwell Heath versus Holmer Green Bank Holiday local derby game, and another 0-0, but a welcome point for Tuffley Rovers in the game at Lydney Town.

 

Rovers could have taken all three points away with them, Lydney `keeper Richard Thomas saving a penalty 25 minutes into the match.

 

Home team Longlevens scored the only goal and took the honours in the Gloucestershire derby against Bishops Cleeve - Myron Turner the scorer after 22 minutes.

 

Stag Meadow hosted the very local derby between Windsor and Virginia Water (both sides play at the Windsor ground).

 

With Windsor scoring the only goal of the first half through Matty Woods and Water’s the only goal in the second from Lorenzo Di Felice.

 

Reading City lost their 100% record. losing out 3-0 away to Ardley United.

 

A game without goals until the 76th minute when Greg Hackett, Toby London and Harley Giles scored.

 

Shrivenham won their first game of the season away to Royal Wootton Bassett Town.

Josh Morse scored the only goal in the game at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground 20 minutes from time.

 

The August Bank Holiday game between Brackley Town Saints and Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division Hadley, the only fixture remaining to be played in the Preliminary Round.

 

It ended without any goals being scored, so Saints will have to go again and Hadley’s Brickfield Lane ground next week.
