...following a meeting of the FA Challenge
Cup sub-committee held on Tuesday.
Committee members
considered the charge raised against Litherland Remyca by the Football
Association on Thursday, 23rd August 2018 for an alleged breach of FA Cup Rule
15(d) in relation to Warren Jevons playing in the Extra Preliminary Round match
against following NWCL side Charnock Richard whilst allegedly under suspension.
Having given all the
evidence before them due consideration, the members found the charge of a
breach of FA Cup Rule 15(d) proven, insomuch that Jevons played in the above
match whilst under suspension.
The members ordered
that Litherland shall be removed from this season`s competition and the tie be
awarded to Charnock Richard and the prize fund payment due to the winning club
shall be paid to Charnock Richard.
The prize fund
payment due to the losing club shall be withheld by The FA.
Charnock Richard will
now play at home to Leek Town in the Preliminary Round with this match to be
played on Tuesday, 4th September 2018, with any replay to be scheduled for
Saturday, 8th September 2018, subject to an appeal being successful.
In the event that
this match requires a replay, the First Qualifying Round tie away to Parkgate
shall be played in the midweek commencing Monday, 10th September 2018 with any
replay to be played in the midweek commencing Monday, 17th September 2018.
