....League Division One West side Skelmersdale United ahead of their Buildbase FA Vase tie on Saturday.
Striker Jason Carey and Michael White join and both go straight into tomorrow`s squad.
Carey joined Skelmersdale in July from NWCL Premier Division side Congleton Town, re-uniting with a number of team-mates after spells with Runcorn Linnets, AFC Liverpool and Formby.
Nicknamed `The Lionel Messi of the NWCL` during success at Formby, he also won league and cup titles at Glossop North End and began his senior career with a five-year stay at Runcorn Town.
Defender White returned to Skem as a player-coach in the summer.
A former United captain, he starred in defence for the club between 2007 and 2010 with a total of 157 appearances in which he struck 37 goals.
A dependable penalty taker, he guided the club to the NPL First Division play-off Final in his first season of 2007/08 where sadly they lost out to FC United of Manchester and departed in 2009/10 with the club again in the play-off reckoning.
He moved on to Bamber Bridge before a four-year stay at Formby where as captain he guided the Squirrels to the NWCL Challenge Cup final and in his final season led them to First Division cup success.
Formby's demise led White to Runcorn Linnets where he continued his success from the penalty spot and earned the players` player of the year award in both 2014/15 and 2015/16.
He has also had recent stints with AFC Liverpool, where he scored 4 goals in 42 appearances, Burscough and Widnes. |
