....the season by bolstering his rearguard line with the capture of Clovis Kamdjo and fellow defender Lewis Knight.

Kamdjo impressed for the Saints during pre-season having started his career at Barnet before coming to prominence at Forest Green Rovers.

The Cameroonian, who is just as established in midfield, then enjoyed a spell under Allinson at Boreham Wood before signing for York City.

Knight – a 6’4” centre-back - was formerly at Concord Rangers prior to his stint with East Thurrock United and is highly-regarded within the division.

Both go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s encounter with Dartford at Clarence Park.

However, on the way out of Clarence Park this week are fellow defenders, Harold Joseph and Tarik Moore-Azille along with winger Roman Michael-Percil.

The Saints boss believed it was important to make changes sooner rather than later. He told https://www.stalbanscityfc.com: “My job is to assemble the best possible squad to win football matches and if things need to be changed along the way then I won’t be afraid to do that.

“We’re on a tight budget and we’re a small squad so I need to know that everyone is at the level required for this football club.

“I had Clovis with me at Boreham Wood, but he suffered a ligament injury at York which was a set-back but make no mistake, we have a football league quality player on our hands.

“Lewis Knight is obviously someone Glenn Alzapiedi knows well from his time at Concord and he’s hungry to learn and make an impact here”.
