Thirty-year-old striker Charlie Sheringham re-joins the Darts having spent the early part of this season with league rivals Hemel Hempstead Town.

Originally on the books at Ipswich Town, Charlton Athletic and Crystal Palace without breaking into the senior teams, Sheringham has gone on to play for the likes of Cambridge City, Welling United, Bishop`s Stortford, Dartford, AFC Bournemouth, Salisbury City and Ebbsfleet United.

He re-signed for Hemel having left last October after he was given a chance to play abroad.

He scored 6 times for the Tudors before leaving for Saif Sporting Club, who play in the Bangladesh Premier League.

But Sheringham, the son of England legend Teddy, re-joined the Tudors in July after returning to the UK.

In his previous spells with the Darts he scored 34 goals in 56 appearances.

Darts` joint boss Adam Flanagan told https://www.dartfordfc.com: “We warmly welcome Charlie back to the club and we feel he will have a big influence on the pitch and in the dressing room.”

Dartford have also signed Tom Knowles on an initial month`s loan from SkyBet League Two side Cambridge United.

The 18-year-old winger joins has previous loan experience with Southern League sides St Ives Town, Cambridge City and St Neots Town.
