.....Dan Vann on an initial one-month loan from SkyBet League One side Walsall.

Vann signed his first professional contract with the Saddlers at the age of 17 and enjoyed a similar loan spell with the Gladiators` league rivals Stafford Rangers back in February.

Vann told https://www.saddlers.co.uk: “I’m happy to go out on loan to play some games.

“I haven’t played many games because I got injured during pre-season.

“It’s important I’m playing games and it’s good to play against men.

“I really enjoyed it at Stafford last season and made some good friends there.

“It’s a lot more physical and playing against men is a lot harder.

“I felt I did well and hopefully I can play as many games as I can at Matlock to gain match fitness”.
