The Blues were relegated from the Hellenic Premier Division last season but Shone is confident the future is bright at The Gore after a completed takeover of the club by former non-League player Nash Bashir.

Shone believes Woodward will bring a winning mentality to the club and knowledge of Division One East having played in the league for Penn & Tylers Green last season.

The Burnham boss told the Slough Observer: “Mitchell is someone I know personally as a friend and I played with him for over twelve years.

“It’s good for me to get him on board and great for the club going forward. He will bring a winning mentality as a player, coach and assistant.

“Mitchell works for the Football Association at present and has worked at Wycombe Wanderers. He has also coached in the United States as well so has a good knowledge of the game.

“Mitchell knows what the division is all about and will give us an insight into what to expect”.
