...Harrogate Town, AFC Fylde and Leyton Orient who remain unbeaten.

Wrexham bounced back from their first defeat of the season by beating Aldershot Town 2-0 at The Racecourse.

Stuart Beavon, with his first goal for the club, and Jordan Maguire-Drew both scored in the second half as Wrexham took their tally to 17 points from eight games and returned to the top of the table.

Harrogate started September with an emphatic win as a brace apiece from Jack Muldoon and Mark beck put Eastleigh to the sword at The CNG Stadium.

Liam Agnew created Town's opener; closing down the opposition defence before rounding the 'keeper and seeing the loose ball fall to Muldoon with an open goal to aim at.

Muldoon made it two seconds after the restart, racing through and poking past Graham Stack before sub Mark Beck finished well with 10 minutes to play.

There was still time for Beck to claim another in the 87th minute as the striker guided George Thomson's cross into the corner with his head and ensure Town ended the day in second place.

AFC Fylde enjoyed a fine 3-1 win at Stonebridge Road against Ebbsfleet United.

After a goalless first half, it was that man Danny Rowe who gave the Coasters a two-goal lead with strikes in the 51st and 58th minutes.

Corey Whitely reduced the deficit with 13 minutes to go, but sub Gime Toure made sure the points went north with a third in the 87th minute.

Another late goal at the B2Net Stadium condemned Chesterfield to a fifth straight defeat since suffering relegation.

Unbeaten Leyton Orient grabbed a 78th minute winner from James Dayton, despite spending much of the game on the back foot, to continue their unbeaten start to the season.

FC Halifax Town are fourth but drew for the first time this season, 1-1 away at Gander Green Lane against Sutton United.

It was the home side who went ahead following a Simon Lenighan foul after 56 minutes - Kenny Davis curling his free-kick past Sam Johnson.

Dayle Southwell equalised for the Shaymen on 63 minutes with his third goal of the season on the edge of the box, his low shot was precise and beat Jamie Butler.

Solihull Moors` decent start to the season under Tim Flowers continued as they claimed a 2-1 win at the Furness Building Society Stadium against Barrow AFC.

However, quite a few in the 1,260 crowd had started to make their way out of the ground when Moors finally broke the deadlock in the 83rd minute through sub Luke Maxwell.

Adi Yussuf made sure with a second 5 minutes later, rendering John Rooney`s reply as just a consolation for the Bluebirds.

A late Liam Noble penalty - his second of the game - made it four wins out of four for Hartlepool United, this time at promoted Havant & Waterlooville.

Noble had put Pools ahead in the 24th minute, but the hosts looked to have got a point as an 83rd minute Ryan Woodford header sailed past Scott Loach.

But Mark Kitching was felled in the area as the clock ticked over to 90 minutes and Noble again, made no mistake from 12 yards.

Another late penalty, this time in the 88th minute, saw Gateshead win 1-0 at the International Stadium against a Maidstone United side with Steve Watt in caretaker charge following the departure of manager Jay Saunders.

Lee Worgan had already saved one Scott Boden spot-kick in the first half.

But he was sent the wrong way from the spot when Boden stepped up again following a foul by Will De Havilland, who was probably the Stones’ man-of-the-match.

Both sides finished with ten-men with Blair Turgott and the Heed’s JJ O’Donnell seeing red following an off-the-ball incident after the award of the second penalty.

Dover Athletic went down to a fourth consecutive defeat at Crabble to Barnet.

Goals from Jack Barham after just 4 minutes and Byron Harrison on 25 minutes had the Bees ahead at the break and although skipper Mitch Brundle pulled one back on 65 minutes, the Bees held on to leave the Whites rooted in the bottom four of the table.

Essex sides Braintree Town and Dagenham & Redbridge are still searching for a first win in 2018/19, but both at least picked up a point on Saturday.

The Daggers shared a 0-0 draw at the Chigwell Construction Stadium against promoted Salford City.

But Peter Taylor`s men will be disappointed having played for the entire second half against ten-men after the Ammies` Danny Lloyd was dismissed for two bookings 2 minutes before the break.

Braintree shared a 1-1 draw at Meadow Park against Boreham Wood.

Jamal Fyfield had given Wood a 34th minute lead that Mo Bettamer cancelled out just after half-time.

It finished all-square at York Road too between Maidenhead United and Bromley.

But Alan Devonshire`s side will be kicking themselves after being 2-0 up going into stoppage time at the end of the game.

Adrian Clifton after 34 minutes and then Josh Kelly just past the hour-mark had seemingly won it for the Magpies.

A penalty from Frankie Sutherland in the 90th minute seemed like just a consolation but then a great finish from George Porter salvaged a point for the Ravens 2 minutes into time added on.
