....Division, leaving promoted Bamber Bridge as the only team yet to taste defeat in 2018/19 following Saturday`s round of matches.

Stalybridge were beaten 2-0 at Marston Road to a Stafford Rangers side winning for the first time after two draws and two defeats.

Joe Cuff broke the deadlock to give Rangers a 66th minute lead that Izak Reid doubled from the penalty spot 7 minutes from time.

Brig earned a second win to add to their two draws, beating Witton Albion 2-0 at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium.

Matt Dudley gave the hosts an 11th minute lead that Ali Waddecar added to 8 minutes later.

Relegated Gainsborough Trinity head the embryonic table by three points after a fourth win out of five, 3-1 at the Northolme against a Lancaster City side who have now lost all five of their matches.

Ashley Worsfold after 24 minutes and Ross Hannah 8 minutes before the break gave Trinity a cushion that Matt Blinkhorn reduced just shy of the hour-mark.

But a second from Hannah on 64 minutes earned Trinity the points.

Promoted Basford United are second after recording a third straight win after losing their opening two matches.

They edged out Farsley Celtic 4-3 at the Mill Street Playing Field, taking an early 3rd minute lead through Nathan Watson.

But Farsley turned round 3-1 up after Paul Walker on the half-hour mark and a brace of penalties from Will Hayhurst after 38 and 45 minutes.

Watson reduced the arrears just past the hour-mark with another spot-kick and then completed his hat-trick to equalise 2 minutes later.

Matt Thornhill won it for the Nottinghamshire side with 10 minutes to go.

Relegated North Ferriby United had an afternoon to forget after losing 5-0 at their own Eon Visual Medium Stadium to Warrington Town, who are starting to hit form after a slow start.

Goals from Tony Gray after 12 minutes, a Richard Brodie penalty 7 minutes later and Dylan Vassallo on 42 minutes gave the Wire a 3-0 interval lead.

And then goals in the final 12 minutes from Josh Amis and Bohan Dixon made it a nap hand for the visitors.

Promoted South Shields earned a third win and third place after a 4-0 Mariners Park win over Nantwich Town.

A crowd of 1,444 saw a goalless first half and then Robbie Briggs break the deadlock 10 minutes after the interval.

Josh Gillies added a second just past the hour-mark and Ben Harmison ensured victory with a third after 78 minutes – Blair Adams adding a fourth just 3 minutes later.

Workington AFC won 3-1 at Borough Park against Matlock Town.

Jason Walker put the Reds in front after just 5 minutes.

Michael Williams equalised 4 minutes into the second half, and that looked like being enough to earn the Gladiators a point, until Conor Tinnion in the 81st minute and Walker again 3 minutes later sealed the Reds` win.

Marine AFC are second bottom after losing 2-0 at the Marine Travel Arena to Grantham Town, whose Ross Barrows after 20 minutes and Mike Hollingsworth from the penalty spot on 62 minutes, were on the mark.

Hednesford Town recorded a third win in five, running out 2-1 winners at the Turnbull Ground against Whitby Town.

Dan Cockerline put the Pitmen in front after 29 minutes and they eventually doubled that with 76 minutes gone on the clock through Lewis Archer.

Kieran Parnaby pulled one back for the Seasiders 7 minutes later, but they couldn`t find a leveller.

Promoted Scarborough Athletic won by the odd goal in five at Ewen Fields against Hyde United.

Boro led 2-0 by the 20th minute, thanks to Michael Coulson and James Walshaw.

And then James Cadman added a third just after the break.

The Tigers fought back with goals from Karl Jones on 76 minutes and recent signing John McCombe 5 minutes later, but Boro held on.

Buxton won 3-1 at Mickleover Sports, breaking the deadlock 6 minutes into the second half through Brad Roscoe.

Evan Garnett equalised after 71 minutes, but just 4 minutes later, Nic DeGirolamo restored the Bucks lead and Jude Oyibo made sure with a third 3 minutes into stoppage time.
