Hastings is a central defender who can also play in midfield. He will add strength to the Hawks’ defence, who are still searching for a first clean sheet of the season but at least broke the duck on Saturday with a 3-1 win at Leatherhead in which Hastings started.

He began his career at Heybridge Swifts as a youth team player, winning their young player of the year award in 2012.

He went on to make 115 first-team appearances for the Swifts before joining Enfield Town in the summer of 2014.

He joined Leiston in July 2016, before a loan spell at Stowmarket Town and then a move to Wroxham followed.

He spent the 2017/18 season with Felixstowe, where he also started this season.
