The club have placed on record its gratitude for the work Blackwood has put into the club, both on and off the pitch, over the past three years since joining from Bartley Green Illey.
Chairman Tony Round told the club`s website: “The whole club is disappointed to see Aaron leave. However, as a committee we fully understand his reasoning and reluctantly accepted his resignation from the post.
“He’s done wonderfully well here building a young talented squad and working tirelessly behind the scenes to help develop the club on all fronts, culminating in our best league finish in a number of years last season.
“The club were at a low ebb when he joined 3 years back and should be proud of what he’s achieved.
“On a personal note, I started my involvement with Feckenham at the same time and it’s been a pleasure to work with him over that period. I hope the break and little bit of ‘me’ time does him good and he comes back into the game at some point, because it needs people like him
Involved.”
Luke Evans, Keith Green and Kristian Rock will lead the team in the interim as the club now begins the search for a long-term replacement.
