Margate Borrow U`s Wide Man

Bostik League Premier club Margate have secured a short-term loan deal with SkyBet League Two side Colchester United for promising winger George Brown.

The pacey wide man made a big impression in the under-23s after graduating from the under-18s.

He is no stranger to non-League football, having had loan spells with Bostik North side Maldon & Tiptree and Vanarama National League South outfit East Thurrock United during last season.

Brown joins the Gate in time for the Emirates FA Cup First Qualifying Round match against Horndean on Saturday.

Meanwhile, young Gate defender Ben Fitchett will be joining Bostik South East side Sittingbourne on loan to increase his playing time this season.

And Gate have released young striker Samuel Akinde.
