Thirty-seven-year-old Robinson has been at the Taunton Town helm for the past six years where he has overseen a fantastic progression for the club.
They were Evo-Stik Southern League West Division champions last term, with just one defeat from their 42 league games and they have continued to enjoy success at the higher level this season.
A highly-respected and emerging coach who has learned his trade over the past decade and is ready to step up onto the National League South stage.
He will be joined by Michael Meaker, who has been his right-hand man at Taunton since the summer of 2015.
An accomplished footballer during his playing days, which started in the top-flight with Queens Park Rangers and saw him serve the likes of Reading, Bristol Rovers and Plymouth Argyle, as well as representing Wales at international level.
Robinson spoke of his delight having been appointed into The White Tigers’ hot-seat, telling http://www.trurocityfc.net: “I am really pleased to have this opportunity, along with Micheal Meaker, to join Truro City and help the club move forwards.
“As a management team we have had a very successful couple of years and are now hungry to prove ourselves at a higher level, which was the main attraction for the move.
“We are, of course, aware that there has been a lot of uncertainty and upheaval at the club in the last few months with the stadium move and the management team leaving early on in the season.
“However, we also have to be single-minded in our approach to moulding the team into what we want it to be and start winning football matches despite all the off-field stuff and this is what we’ll be looking to do quickly.
“The chairman has shown a great deal of faith in us as a management team and we are determined to repay that by working hard, making key decisions and getting the team on an upward curve ASAP.
“We are very much inheriting the squad that was built by Lee Hodges and Chris Todd over the summer and it will take a couple of weeks to fully assess things and work out the best way forwards. But, we are certainly looking forward to meeting and getting to know the players as well as seeing what they have to offer on the pitch in the coming weeks as we look to put our stamp on things”.
