......it`s newly-promoted Bamber Bridge who remain as the only unbeaten team.

Trinity had to be content with one point on Tuesday night from an entertaining 1-1 draw at Throstle Nest against Farsley Celtic.

Alex Byrne gave the visitors the lead after 22 minutes before Lewis Turner struck for the Celts in the 53rd minute, with both sides settling for a share of the spoils, despite creating enough opportunities to take all three points.

Promoted South Shields are second after winning 1-0 at Bower Fold against Stalybridge Celtic.

Gavin Cogdon struck 14 minutes before the end to settle the contest and earn Shields their first away win at Step 3 level.

Warrington Town, Scarborough Athletic, Buxton and Grantham Town follow behind Shields on 11 points.

Warrington inflicted a third defeat on Workington AFC, running out 2-0 winners at Cantilever Park, thanks to two goals in 4 minutes midway through the first half from Tony Gray and Jack Mackreth.

Promoted Scarborough beat relegated North Ferriby United, who have won only once to date this season and find themselves second-bottom of the fledgling table.

But it was far from plain sailing for the Seadogs as they trailed at the break in front of a 1,117 crowd when Boro `keeper Tommy Taylor brought down Luke Hinsley and Luke Lofts converted the resulting penalty.

However, once Kevin Burgess equalised after 67 minutes, there looked to be only one winner.

And a Wayne Brooksby brace after 76 and then in stoppage time, sealed the home side`s win.

Buxton beat newly-promoted Basford United, who had won their previous three games.

A goal from Anthony Wilson just past the hour-mark sealed the Bucks win at Silverlands.

A Michael Hollingsworth brace and a Theo Richardson penalty save gave Grantham a 2-1 win at The Meres against Mickleover Sports, who have won only once to date.

The Gingerbreads took the lead on 26 minutes after Ryan Oliver was pulled down in the box, Michael Hollingsworth stepped up to convert the penalty.

Mickleover were awarded a penalty of their own just after the half-hour mark but new Gingerbreads keeper Theo Richardson saved Nathan Jarman`s effort excellently low to his right.

The Gingerbreads lead was doubled on 71 minutes when the ball got free in the Mickleover box and Hollingsworth was there to stab the ball home.

Mickleover pushed bodies forward and on 89 minutes pulled one back through Evan Garnett, but the Gingerbreads held firm.

Lancaster City remain at the foot of the table – and still without a win – but at least got off the mark with a 1-1 draw at the Giant Axe against unbeaten Bamber Bridge.

After a goalless first half edged by Brig, it was the Dolly Blues who broke the deadlock in the 76th minute when they were awarded a penalty for a foul on Matty Blinkhorn.

Tom Kilifin`s spot-kick was saved by Lloyd Rigby, but he was able to head in the rebound.

It looked as though the derby was going City`s way, until 4 minutes from time when Danny Forbes popped up with Brig`s leveller.

Matlock Town suffered a 3-0 defeat at their Proctor Causeway Stadium against Whitby Town.

The Seasiders led through Matty Tymon`s goal a minute before the break.

The Gladiators had Dwayne Wiley dismissed after 84 minutes and Dale Hopson converted the resulting penalty, with Junior Mondal adding a third in time added on.

Stafford Rangers survived the final 10 minutes of their derby at Keys Park against Hednesford Town to earn a 3-1 win.

In front of a crowd of 916, Michael Howard had the Pitmen in front after 20 minutes, but Rangers went into the break 2-1 ahead, thanks to Izak Reid after 37 minutes and Louis Briscoe 5 minutes later.

Jack Sherratt made the points safe with Rangers` third 20 minutes from time, but got himself sent-off in the 80th minute.

Nantwich Town looked to be heading for defeat at the Weaver Stadium against Hyde United, who led through former FC United of Manchester boss Tom Greaves` first goal for the Tigers 5 minutes after half-time.

But a free-kick from James Lawrie in stoppage time at the end of the game salvaged a point for the Dabbers.

Witton Albion and Marine AFC shared a 0-0 draw at Wincham Park in the evening`s other game.
